The 2026 Triumph Speed 400 brings the character of Triumph’s roadster family to an approachable, lightweight package. Its upright riding position, responsive single-cylinder engine and compact proportions make it well suited to urban commuting, weekend rides and newer riders seeking manageable performance. The Phantom Black and Storm Grey colour scheme complements its clean lines and timeless British-inspired detailing.
Power comes from Triumph’s liquid-cooled 398 cc TR-Series engine, producing 40 PS and 37.5 Nm of torque. A six-speed transmission provides useful flexibility for stop-and-go traffic as well as open-road riding, while ride-by-wire throttle control supports smooth, precise response. A torque-assist clutch reduces lever effort and helps make frequent shifting less tiring.
The Speed 400 combines 17-inch cast-aluminium wheels, wide handlebars and a comfortable upright posture for confident manoeuvring in town and predictable handling through corners. Its 790 mm seat height helps make the motorcycle accessible to a broad range of riders, while the analogue speedometer and integrated LCD display present key information in a straightforward format.
With practical ergonomics, useful electronic aids and signature Triumph styling, the Speed 400 suits riders looking for one motorcycle that can handle weekday transportation, relaxed back-road outings and everyday skill-building without unnecessary complexity.
